Training & Certification

The core of BeHumn is our ICF-aligned curriculum. It is designed to take you from the fundamentals of coaching to advanced techniques, culminating in a Certificate of Completion.

Navigating the Dashboard

Your Dashboard is your home base. Here you can see your overall progress, access the curriculum modules, and quickly jump into practice sessions. Modules are unlocked sequentially as you complete them.

Downloading Materials

Every module can be downloaded for offline reading. Look for the "Download PDF" and "Download Word" buttons below the "Start Module" button on the Dashboard.

How to complete a module and get your certificate:

  1. Read through all the sub-sections precisely in each module.
  2. Engage with the interactive reflections and scenarios.
  3. Complete the quiz at the end of every module. You must score 100% to pass.
  4. Once passed, the next module will unlock automatically.
  5. Once you finish all modules in the curriculum, you will unlock the Certificate Status page where you can claim your certificate.

AI Practice (Client Simulator)

Reading about coaching isn't enough; you have to practice. The AI Practice feature allows you to conduct a simulated coaching session with a live, voice-enabled AI client.

1. Starting a Session

Navigate to AI Practice. From here, you can select your preferred scenario, AI voice, duration, and the coaching framework to apply.

2. Adding Custom Scenarios

You don't just have to use the pre-built scenarios. You can create your own custom coaching situations:

  • In the setup area for AI Practice, choose the "Custom Persona" from the Scenario dropdown.
  • Below the dropdowns, look for the "Custom Persona Prompt" text area.
  • Type out the background details of your client (e.g., "The client is a 35-year old graphic designer who wants to start an agency but is scared of failing").
  • The AI will adopt this persona for the session.

3. Exporting & Importing Sessions

Want to save your practice transcript or resume it later?

  • Exporting: Click the "Export Session (.json)" button at the top of the AI Practice page. This downloads a file containing the entire chat history and settings.
  • Importing/Resuming: Click the "Import JSON configuration" button next to it. Select the `.json` file you previously downloaded. The tool will parse the file, restore the chat exactly where you left off, and set up the AI context so you can continue the session seamlessly.

4. Receiving Feedback

During long sessions, you can click "Get Mid-Session Feedback" to have the AI pause and critique how you are doing without breaking character. After you click "End Voice Session", the AI will automatically generate a detailed report card evaluating your active listening, questioning, and alignment with the framework.

My AI Coach

Get coached yourself! Use this section to act as the client and receive guidance from your own dedicated AI Life Coach. Pro and Academy members can also switch to "Mentor Mode" to seek business or ICF compliance advice.

1. Voice Conversation

Navigate to My AI Coach. Click Connect to initiate a real-time WebRTC audio call. You can talk naturally, and the AI will respond. To interrupt the AI, simply speak over it or press the spacebar (depending on your microphone configuration).

2. Mode Selection

If you are on an eligible tier, you can choose between:

  • Life Coach: The AI resolves your personal problems as your own dedicated life coach.
  • Mentor: The AI acts as your professional mentor, helping you build your coaching business, master techniques, and use the platform effectively.

3. Exporting & Importing Sessions

Just like AI practice, you can preserve your personal coaching journey:

  • Click the "Export Session (.json)" button to save your entire conversation and insights.
  • Click the "Import JSON configuration" button to load a previous session. The AI will remember the context, so you can follow up on goals you set weeks ago without having to re-explain your situation.

Session Analyzer

The Session Analyzer is your automated supervisor. Upload recordings or transcripts of your real-world coaching sessions, and get an ICF-aligned evaluation.

How to Analyze a Session:

  1. Navigate to Session Analyzer via the sidebar.
  2. Choose your upload method:
    • Raw Text Transcript: Paste in the chat log of a coaching session.
    • Audio Upload (.mp3, .wav, .m4a): Upload an audio recording of your session. Make sure the file is primarily spoken word.
  3. Click Analyze Session. The AI will process the data. This might take up to a minute for long audio files.
  4. Review your results! The AI will provide metrics like talk-time ratio, identify red flags (like giving unsolicited advice), and score you across various ICF competencies.

Task Manager

Available directly on your Dashboard, the Task Manager helps you stay focused and organized on your path to building a coaching business.

  • Adding Tasks: Click the "+" icon next to "My Tasks", type your to-do item, and press Enter.
  • Editing/Deleting: Click on a task to edit it, or click the trash can icon to delete it.
  • Completion: Check the box to mark a task as completed.

Troubleshooting & Common Issues

PDF or Word Downloads are failing

If you click "Download PDF" or "Download Word" and nothing happens, or you see an error:

  • Wait a moment: Generating documents, especially PDFs, can take a few seconds. A loading spinner should appear.
  • Check your browser: Ensure your browser isn't blocking pop-ups or automatic downloads.
  • Refresh the page: Sometimes a simple refresh resolves temporary connection issues.
The Voice AI isn't responding or hearing me
  • Permissions: Ensure your browser has permitted microphone access to the BeHumn website.
  • Connectivity: The WebRTC voice AI requires a stable internet connection with low latency. If you are experiencing long pauses, try disconnecting and reconnecting.
  • Silence: The AI waits for you to finish speaking. If you stay silent for too long, it might end its thought or pause indefinitely. Simply start talking again to resume.
I completed a module, but the next one won't unlock

Modules unlock sequentially based on quiz completion.

  • Check your quiz score: You must score 100% on the quiz at the end of the module to pass.
  • Retake the quiz: If you didn't score 100%, you can retake the quiz as many times as needed.
  • Refresh the Dashboard: If you passed but it still shows locked, refresh the Dashboard page to sync your progress.
Importing a session JSON file didn't work

Ensure you are trying to import an `AI Practice` session export into the `AI Practice` page, and a `My AI Coach` session export into the `My AI Coach` page. Mismatched file types will not import correctly.
